Area information
San Francisco Park (1.6 km) – This tranquil park is in the centre of Oviedo and is ideal for relaxing or for a peaceful stroll. The park also has a small pond with ducks and swans. The park is ideal for children with plenty of space for them to play in.
Monte Naranco (2.5 km) – This mountain range has the remains of many Roman establishments and also features the popular Santa Maria of the Naranco palace, which, in the 9th century, was the hunting pavillion of King Ramiro I.

Every morning there is a market in El Fontán. Also well worth a visit is the Campoamor Theatre, where the Prince of Asturias Awards is held every year.
