Hotel information
A comfortable family run inn (3 stars) in the historic village of Auldearn. The Covenanters is in an ideal location to explore the magnificent scenery of the North and West Highlands, Moray, Speyside, the Cairngorms and Aberdeenshire. Situated between Inverness and the historic town of Elgin and about 8 miles to Inverness Airport.
We offer a wide choice of good food. The Kiln Lounge Bar offers excellent food in historic surroundings. It is situated in the 'mill' section of the building.
After eating, why not enjoy a dram at the bar or sit in the conservatory and watch the sunset.

Room information
All of the bedrooms have an en suite bathroom. Many of the rooms were newly furnished in June 2008. The Covenanters (ground-floor throughout) has one bedroom that has been fully adapted with disabled facilities. Please see individual room details for a complete list of facilities on offer.
Food & beverage
Lunch and dinner are served in the friendly and casual Kiln Lounge. The menu has both local and international specialities and is supplemented with daily specials. Why not sample one of the many Scottish whiskies?
Area information
The Covenanters Inn is situated in an ideal location for exploring Inverness, Loch Ness, Forres, Findhorn, Elgin, Kinloss, Lossiemouth, Aviemore, Carrbridge and Grantown (plus many other Highland, Moray and Speyside attractions). Cawdor and Brodie Castle, Fort George, Culloden Battlefield and the Malt Whisky Trail – all just a stone’s throw away. If you need any help in planning days out, Douglas will be only too pleased to assist. He keeps up-to-date on where the Moray dolphins and Nessie have been sighted most recently!
An abundance of golf courses, beautiful beaches, and scenic walks are also close by. Choose from so many activities such as horseriding, hiking, cycling, swimming, fishing, tennis…. The list is endless.
Travel information
Travelling east on the A96 from Inverness to Aberdeen, Auldearn is one mile east of Nairn. The inn is the first building on the right as you enter the village. If you are travelling from the south, please phone for a shortcut.
Important information
All guests are requested to leave their room key with reception when leaving the Inn Covenanters premises. If guests are returning to the Inn Covenanters after midnight, please inform reception so that a key for the outside door can be organised.
