Area information
Bansko is full of history, culture, tradition and folklore. This magic town is located on the northeast slopes of the Pirin Mountains, there are many leisure activities and excursions in this area. Melnik: the smallest town in Bulgaria is also an architectural reserve and features the famous sand pyramids.

Bansko is situated 170 km from the international airport of Bulgaria's capital city, Sofia. Transfer time is approximately 3 hours. You can reach Bansko either by flying into Sofia airport and driving to the south, or by flying into Thessaloniki(Salonica) in Greece, and driving three hours to the north.
