The Classical Makedonia Palace is just 15km from the Makedonia International Airport, offering the benefit of a short and easy transfer. With its 3 outdoor swimming pools (including 1 children’s pool), fully equipped fitness area, and nearby tennis courts, the Makedonia Palace provides guests with an extensive list of leisure amenities. The hotel’s wonderfully central location enables guests to enjoy the many business, shopping and cultural attractions that Thessaloniki offers. Each one of the guest rooms reflects the tradition and classicism of this legendary hotel, masterfully combined with the warmth and comfort of a contemporary apartment. The windows open out onto Alexander the Great Avenue, overlooking the White Tower, the International Exhibition Centre and the city lights, or the deep blue of the Thermaicos Gulf. Each of the 24 suites is individually designed in a triumph of velvet and decorated in sunset hues. The two presidential suites, Alexander at 120 m² and Philip at 135 m², are especially worth mentioning as they are undoubtedly the city’s ultimate guest rooms; they are appointed with luxurious furniture, 2 spacious master bedrooms, a separate jacuzzi and private balconies overlooking the Aegean Sea.

Ruoka & juoma

The resort contains a variety of restaurants and bars including a sushi bar which is open from 21:00 to 01:00, a Greek sea food restaurant that is open from 12:00 to 00:00 and the hotel’s main restaurant, open from 07:00 to 00:00, situated right by the Thermaikos Gulf offering a new twist on Mediterranean and traditional Greek dishes, as well as a pool bar and a garden cafe. There is also the rooftop Asian influenced Cloud Level, awarded with the Gourmet award for being Thessaloniki’s best lounge bar restaurant, the ideal location for breathtaking views and romantic sunsets, open Monday to Sunday for drinks from 20:00 and for dinner from 20:00 until 01:00. However the main attraction is the Τ-Palace, open from 08:00 to 00:00, which specialises in martinis and is a long-standing fashionable meeting point for high profile figures, rock stars and models; it was Colin Farrell’s hangout while shooting Alexander the Great.

The Makedonia Palace Classical Makedonia Palace is ideal starting point for excursions to Chalkidiki, Mount Athos, Pella (birth place of Alexander the Great), Vergina, mount Olympus as well as several ski resorts areas. Ideally located by the sea, on the main city avenue, it offers breathtaking views of the White Tower and the Thermaikos Gulf. This typical building and landmark has been meticulously renovated and reopened in September 1995. In the years 2002 and 2003 it was submitted again of a complete renovation. The Classical Makedonia Palace is within walking distance from the International Exhibition Center and provides easy access to the business and shopping districts. By bus: take bus No 3 just outside the train station to bus station Faliro.

By car: exiting the train station on your left take Monastiriou Str for 300 meters until you reach Dodekanissou Str. There you turn right. Drive all the way to Nikis Ave where you turn left. Nikis Ave changes name right after the White Tower to Meg. Alexandrou Ave. Makedonia Palace lies on your right.

* Airport (15km)
By bus: take bus No 78 just outside the airport to bus station Faliro.

By car: exit the airport on your left to Georgikis Scholis Str. Drive straight-ahead to the town. The street changes name to Ethnikis Antistaseos Ave, Vassilisis Olgas Ave and Vassileos Georgiou Ave that bring you to the White Tower. There you turn sharp left to Meg. Alexandrou Ave. Makedonia Palace lies on your right.

*Harbour (1,5km)
By bus: take bus No 3 just outside the harbor to bus station Faliro.

By car: exit the harbor, turn right on Nikis Ave. and drive straight ahead until you reach the White Tower and Meg. Alexandrou Ave.
