The Schlosshotel is located in the old quarter near Piazza Grande and built on the place where the former castle entrance used to be.
Some parts of the castle can still be recognised and were noticed by Leonardo da Vinci in July 1507 when building the
Rivellino of Locarno.
Hotellinformation
The only Schlosshotel in the old quarter that has a pool and is located 10 minutes from the port and the train station. The house is composed of parts of the castle Visconti. This was noticed by Leonardo Da Vinci in July 1507 when building the famous Rivellino.
The big garden is accessible for guests only and the
tower of Palazzo offer exceptional quietness and a private ambiance. There is a big secure car park on site. The Schlosshotel also features a lift.
During the main season (from mid May to mid September) the garden and the pool are open from 8 AM to 6:30 PM.

All rooms are en suite and equipped with all common facilities. Some rooms have a balcony.
Mat & Dryck
If you stay more than 3 days we offer half-board (only dinner) for CHF 26 per person per day (2008). Other guests can dine in the restaurant (closed on Sundays).

The Schlosshotel is located in a central area but not directly on the street. The Casorella (museum) and the Castello are close by and the park of the Schlosshotel and other private grounds surround the hotel.

By car:
- Take the exit of the tunnel Locarno until the big roundabout, then turn towards Ospedale, CittàVecchia.
- At the first traffic lights turn right.
You will see the entrance after about 250 metres (Via San Francesco 7A).
By train:
From the train station take the bus number 31 towards
Ascona. Exit at stop 5 Vie.
Go towards the church S.Francesco via Via Varenna .
Walk for about 250 metres to the entrance.
